1 Package Pure Farmland Simply Seasoned Protein Starters
1 12-16 oz. pizza dough
1 package taco seasoning
1 can refried beans
1/4 cup salsa
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Toppings: diced tomatoes, sliced green onions, and sour cream
Place Plant-Based Protein Starters in large skillet over medium-high heat. Break apart with spatula and cook until moisture has evaporated and product browns, about 12 minutes. Add the taco seasoning, add water called for on the package, and cook according to the package instructions. Set aside.
Let pizza dough rest at room temperature for about 20 minutes.
Preheat oven to 400°F. Press or roll the dough onto a 12-inch or larger pizza pan. Bake for 8 minutes. Remove from oven.
In a small bowl, stir together the refried beans and salsa. Spread a thin layer onto the pizza crust. If you are using a 12-inch pan you might not need all of it. If you’re using a larger pizza pan or a 9×13 pan you will use all of it.
Sprinkle with the taco meat, cheese, and olives. Bake for about 5 minutes or until cheese is completely melted. Remove from the oven and top with tomatoes and green onions. You can add sour cream to the center or let everyone top their own.
