RAMEN “BURGERS”

INGREDIENTS

4 Pure Farmland Simply Seasoned Burger Patties
Kosher salt
2 packages ramen, seasoning packets discarded
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
Freshly ground black pepper
4 Monterey Jack cheese slices
Lettuce (optional, for toppings)
1 tomato, sliced (optional, for toppings)
Vegetable oil, for pan

DIRECTIONS


Preheat the oven to 400°F. To make the ramen “buns”: put In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook ramen according to package instructions. Drain and rinse noodles with cold water.

In a large bowl, toss noodles with eggs until evenly coated. Season with salt and pepper.

In a large nonstick pan over medium heat, pour enough vegetable oil to thinly coat the bottom of the pan. Place a handful of the noodles in the pan. Use a spatula to press down and make the mixture flat and pressed. Cook until golden, about 4 minutes per side. Repeat.

For the patties: Add a tablespoon of vegetable oil for the pan and heat over medium-high heat. Once the pan is warmed, add the burger patties and season with salt and pepper.

Cook for 12 minutes, turning once after juices appear on the surface. For the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of cheese. Cover the pan with a tight-fitting lid and cook until the cheese is melted, about 1 minute.

Assemble burgers as desired.
