Pimento Cheese and Jalapeno Burger

INGREDIENTS

1 package Pure Farmland Simply Seasoned Protein Starters
1 tablespoon Burger Seasoning Mix (recipe below)
¼ cup jalapeno, seeded and diced
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
⅓ cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons diced roasted red pepper
4 burger buns
4 tomato slices, about ½” thick
1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce

For The Burger Seasoning Mix:

1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon. onion powder
1 teaspoon black pepper

DIRECTIONS

Form four patties from protein starter with jalapeno, and burger seasoning mix (recipe below).

Heat grill or sauté pan to medium-high heat. Cook for 10-12 minutes or until 175°.

Combine cheese, mayo and roasted red pepper in a small bowl. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Place cooked burgers on bun and top with pimento cheese mixture, lettuce, and tomato.

For The Seasoning Mix:

Combine all dry spice ingredients and mix to incorporate. Use 1 tablespoon per pound of protein starter. Store remainder in an airtight container
