Italian Style Links and Tomato Pasta
1 package of Pure Farmland Mild Italian Dinner “Sausage” Links
12 oz bowtie pasta
4 naan flatbreads
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 medium bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
12oz marinara sauce
½ teaspoon Red pepper flakes
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Cook pasta, according to package directions, then set aside.
Lightly coat a large skillet with non-stick cooking spray. Cook links in skillet over medium-high heat for 6 minutes, turning occasionally to brown evenly.
Add 1/2 cup water to skillet and reduce heat to medium. Cover tightly and cook an additional 5 min. Slice into 1-inch pieces.
In a second skillet add the olive oil and heat over medium heat for 30 seconds.
Add onion and pepper and cook for 3 minutes.
Add tomatoes to the onion mixture and continue to cook for 4 minutes over medium-high heat until the vegetables have softened.
Add links, marinara sauce, and red pepper flakes to the onion and pepper mixture. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook 5 to 10 minutes or until thoroughly heated, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat, combine with cooked pasta and sprinkle with cheese.
