Hawaiian Pineapple “Burger”

INGREDIENTS

plant based protein

1 package Pure Farmland Simply Seasoned Burger Patties
4 pineapple rings, sliced to desired thickness
4 toasted buns (sweet Hawaiian buns recommended)
Whipped cream cheese (or other desired condiment)

Slaw Ingredients:
1 cup shredded cabbage or lettuce
1 jalapeño, thinly sliced
2 tsp. cane sugar
2 Tbsp. rice vinegar
2 Tbsp. sesame oil
2 Tbsp. honey
Salt & pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS


Prep the slaw—Combine all slaw ingredients in a large bowl. Toss to combine. Set aside.

Cook the patties—On the grill: Heat charcoal or gas grill to medium; oil grates. Grill patties for about 8 minutes, turning once after juices appear on the surface. On the stovetop: Cook patties in skillet over medium heat for about 12 minutes, turning once after juices appear on surface.

Sprinkle pineapple rings with sugar & place on hot grill until caramelized & grill marks appear; approximately 3 minutes on each side.

Spread whipped cream cheese (or desired condiment) on bottom of each bun. Assemble burgers, topping with pineapple ring & slaw. Enjoy!
